I love the new image that pops up on my Strava that shows the progression level improvements. It made me scared for the next workouts I was getting prescribed by the program, but when I kept completing the assigned workouts, I realized the Ftp detection was right and that maybe I’ve been sandbagging my tests so my workouts wouldn’t be so hard.ĥ. I enjoyed test date and I felt like I push myself enough, but when AI detection came out, the result was way higher than what I thought I was gonna get on the ramp test. AI FTP detection - I didn’t mind the ramp test protocol they had for a while. Whenever something would be too hard or I would miss a workout, adaptive training changes the next few workouts to accommodate my fitness level.Ĥ. I felt like I was doing the right workouts every time for my fitness level. Adaptive Training - when adaptive training came out, my ability to complete workouts shot up. From 30mi - 1hour long workouts they give you the right workout and still be able to progress without sticking to an actual training plan.ģ. Train Now - I’m a busy guy being in the military and having the flexibility to pick AI recommended workouts on TR has been amazing towards consistency. It also helped me to be consistent in my workouts, helping me to choose the right one based on how I may feel on a rough day or it keeps me from biting off more than I can chew.Ģ. Progression levels - has helped me to stay consistent and have other modes to quantify training improvements. The system works and my absolute favorite parts about it are:ġ. As a beginner cyclist I increased my ftp from 153 at the beginning of 2021 to 191 now at present. I’ve been using TR for 2 years now and the past 2021 being my most consistent year for indoor training. iPhone 5 or newer and iPad Mini, Air and newer also require an Apple lighting to 30 pin adapter for the Wahoo ANT key. Other ANT+ dongles will NOT work at this time.
